Lights fade out to nothing I am here, I’m something We are all lost In the universe of something Is it so hard to think That we are alone here in This cold planet, left to think? You are alone But are you resigned to it? You are alone But are you insignificant? We are all here, we are all lost We are here for something higher We are all here, we are all lost We are here for something Can we float between the nothings? Can we be here, here for something? I don’t know, we can just try Let’s float higher tonight Can you imagine a place where everything Is just what you want it to be? Can you imagine a place where nothing Nothing exists but me? Can we be here, be here forever? Can we stare, stare off into something? Can we be here, be here forever? Can we stare off, stare off into something? You are alone But are you resigned to it? You are alone But are you insignificant? We are all here, here for something Take my hand and let’s float higher Can we be here forever? I don’t know, let’s just try Can we float between the nothings? Can we be here, here for something? I don’t know, we can just try Let’s float higher tonight Let’s float higher tonight Here on this cold planet We are all here Here on this cold planet We are all here Here on this cold planet We are all near Here on this cold planet I cannot hear We are all here, we are all lost We are here for something higher Can we be here forever? Can we be alone? Can we float between the nothings? Can we be here, here for something? Can we be here, here for long? Let’s just float forever

Patterns, patterns surround me They filter into my eyes They create a complex world That clashes and divides Even, even the words I speak Create a pattern your ears seek One of many ways With a simple scream it can cave Patterns, patterns line the walls And fill our very souls Even, even the words I speak Are a framework for the world you see Follow, follow the patterns of the brick Not too closely for minds will lose As water fills your shoes Clashing, clanking, it tears at me It’s imperfect and yet it can be It is true and you can see Patterns surround me They filter into my eyes For as the patterns scroll They blur and create a whole A whole that warns me, so… To open my eyes and see Patterns, patterns line the walls And fill our very souls Even, even the words I speak Are a framework for the world you see Follow, follow the patterns of the brick Not too closely for minds will lose As water fills your shoes Clashing, clanking, it tears at me It’s imperfect and yet it can be It is true and you can see

Weapons, weapons of choice The revolver of the voice Words faster than bullets Speed into my mind The worst, worst you’ll find Maybe it’ll drill a hole Burst through and be still At least you wish they will Is there a voice behind this silence? Conscience, conscious self Is there an end to this disaster? Immune wealth Walk among the remains Between the bloodstains A pattern and a plan If only you could understand… Weapons, weapons of choice Tell me this is only fiction Revolver, revolver of the voice Tell me that this isn’t you Destroyed by the words you say Now it’s over, there is an end This is the message, the message you send Destroyed by the words you say A chalk line in the shape of me Just evidence and entropy This is the end, this is the end

Time slips Right through your fingers It’s all you need It’s so damn depleted You, you can’t just keep it You, you can’t just keep it In a jar It, it can’t be controlled It, it can’t be controlled From afar I wish I I had, had succeeded But it’s so So damn, damn depleted You, you just can’t keep it You, you just can’t keep it In a jar It, it can’t be controlled It, it can’t be controlled From afar Falling faster, fall away An echo trapped within a cage A fractured diagram of hate Is drawing lines across your face You, you just can’t keep it You, you just can’t keep it In a jar It, it can’t be controlled It, it can’t be controlled From afar You, you just can’t keep it You, you just can’t keep it In a jar

The beautiful decay It eats away The beautiful decay A path drawn through the lies and mistakes It eats away If this had been anyone but you… How can you see that it’s all gone? Tell me the truth, tell me the truth It’s just been transformed Or at least tell me something new You’re just stuck in a box, you don’t know what to do Except you follow your own voice for one lonely clue The beautiful decay If there’s a reason for this secrecy It eats away at me every day Don’t tell me now, don’t tell me Can’t you see we’re all being eaten away The clocks all winding down in time Left to decay The ending synchronized This box it has no windows, it has no doors The normal life, the normal life is ignored Existence replaced with cold, cold concrete floors What will I do with myself? I just don’t know I’m shut out in the blackness of the night And I don’t know what to do I’m just left here to die, die without you Can’t you just see that we’re all going away? Each and each and every day… This box it has no windows, it has no doors The normal life, the normal life is ignored Existence replaced with cold, cold concrete floors What will I do with myself? I just don’t know

My ship is sinking The walls are falling All over me The water is crawling I can see you falling It is nothing to me My ship is sinking Floating into darkness I don’t know what makes it Tick like a clock, I can hear you You are floating away now And I can see nothing My ship is sinking Its waves are tearing Tearing apart at me The silent screams are nothing Coming together and collapsing Maybe they’re laughing at me I don’t really know what I can do now, I’m stuck here And I see everything is closing There is no sunlight There is no reach of hope now I cannot see from here (The sun can no more reach me than the weakest candle flame) Leviathan Leviathan A darker home For darker things Leviathan Leviathan My bones will rest beneath your sea The world is falling apart now And I can’t see Out the windows and I don’t know what to do They can’t be closed now Can’t shut out all of my thoughts They just tear me apart As I go under My eyes seek the heavens The stars shine through the wreckage Enveloping me As I go under My eyes seek the heavens But the sky is nothing but A deeper sea Leviathan Leviathan A darker home For darker things Leviathan Leviathan My bones will rest beneath your sea The world is falling apart now And I can’t see Out the windows and I don’t know what to do They can’t be closed now Can’t shut out all of my thoughts They just tear me apart

Do you feel accomplished? Do you feel accomplished when you look at me? Do you feel this is all we Have come to, come to be? Make empty poetry of your desire Then whisper of a truth More beautiful than words (A truth more beautiful than worlds…) Life unbounds its fibers Revealing all our true desires It’s just the lesson that we all learn It’s just the message that we all yearn If only you could just see What just burdens me It’s just the secrecy of symbols It’s just the echo of an echo Do you feel accomplished? Do you feel accomplished when you look at me? Is this all we have? Is this all we have come to be? When did the difference become so difficult to see? So strange a mystery? (So strange a mystery…) Life unbounds its fibers Revealing all our true desires It’s just the lesson that we all learn It’s just the message that we all yearn If only you could just see What just burdens me It’s just the secrecy of symbols It’s just an echo of an echo

Looking at the real world through a shattered bottle It distorts my world and my form It’s a gateway to another time Maybe we’ll be just fine Streetlamps cold on my hot face I can barely keep my walking pace Red doors line this walk Who knows, as the stars talk Consume my eyes If the world is only darkness, if the world is only black No way to stop the beginning Only a way to start the end This makes an inflicting mark of sorts On the pages of my thoughts Ink spills from the cracks Healing the space it lacks... it’s me When will the daylight come? Come and take me from the sun? I don’t know I wish you’d be there too To help me through I just wish you would Consume my eyes If the world is only darkness, if the world is only black No way to stop the beginning Only a way to start the end The excitement of Your face on, up above It just brings me there I wish you could, too I wish you’d be there too You... come with me Be with me Stay with me Consume my eyes If the world is only darkness, if the world is only black No way to stop the beginning Only a way to start the end

This is my last transmission The systems here are all but failing If anyone is listening, please don’t go We’re locked in a decaying orbit The radio is bleeding static and And I am all alone up here This is my last transmission The systems here are all but failing If anyone is listening, please don’t go We’re locked in a decaying orbit The radio is bleeding static And I am up here all alone This pale blue dot seems so familiar And yet so distant I’ll never see its face again And it’s so beautiful up here It’s so beautiful I’ll never see your face again The radio is bleeding static and I am all alone up here

about

Born out of a collaboration between guitarist / songwriter Matt LeFevers (This Glass Embrace) and DJ / electronic musician James Campbell (2TONEDISCO), The Atmosphere And The Astronaut quickly became a musical experiment with a sound entirely its own. Rounded out by bassist Kenny Rice, the trio rehearsed and recorded eleven songs, fusing danceable beats and quirky synths with indie-rock guitar and bass.

This 2018 edition of the album has been fully re-mixed and re-mastered from the ground up, and features a new intro track never before released by the band.
